One of the most helpful things a couple can do for their wedding is to write up a thorough timeline. If done properly, the timeline gets the bride, groom, wedding party, family, and vendors on the same page.
A good timeline will start with the brides’ getting ready and will go all the way through the clean-up of the reception site. A good timeline will also include when/where various vendors arrive and when/where key persons are throughout the day (bride, groom, wedding party, key family members). The more details the better.
A great timeline will improve your wedding photos because we then know when we can grab some of the more tricky shots such as – details, rings, cake, venue, and the wedding dress. It will also improve your photos because it will help decrease the probability that an important moment does not get missed – getting ready, a gift exchange, signing of the marriage license, or prayer before the ceremony.
